Year 3 Get Creative with Stone Age Coins! This morning, our Year 3 pupils have been busy getting creative as they made a start on their clay Stone Age coins! Using a range of different mark-making techniques, the children created their own unique designs, thinking carefully about the patterns, symbols and details they wanted to include. Next week, they'll be adding colour as they paint their coins, bringing their designs to life! What a wonderful way to explore history through creativity, curiosity and hands-on learning!

The festive season is fast approaching, and our Christmas Shoebox Appeal will soon be returning to Hampton Vale Primary Academy. We are incredibly grateful to Sue Ryder for helping us get our appeal off to such a fantastic start! Black History Month has begun! As it's now 1st October, we are excited to begin our Black History Month celebrations across school! This year, our whole-school focus is "Honouring Our Communities". Throughout October, we will be exploring and celebrating the people, cultures and contributions that have helped shape our communities and the wider world. We've started the month in Wonderland with a wonderful range of books, encouraging our children to be curious, ask questions and discover new stories, people, cultures and experiences through the power of reading. Curiosity is at the heart of learning, and Black History Month provides a wonderful opportunity for our children to look beyond what they already know, explore different perspectives and develop a deeper understanding of the diverse communities that make up our world. We're looking forward to a month full of curiosity, learning, celebrating and honouring our communities!

Eat the Rainbow! Today, our Reception children took part in a fantastic 'Eat the Rainbow' workshop, provided by Accent Catering! During the workshop, the children explored a variety of colourful fruits and vegetables, learning about the different colours and how they help keep our bodies healthy. Their curiosity shone through as they asked questions, discovered new facts and explored the importance of making healthy food choices. The fun continued as the children got hands-on and created their very own delicious fruit kebabs, putting their new knowledge into practice! A big thank you to Accent Catering for delivering such an engaging and enjoyable workshop, inspiring our children to be curious about the food they eat and how it helps their bodies grow and thrive.

The Official Opening of Storybrooke Garden! This week, we proudly celebrated the official opening of our wonderful Reception outdoor provision, Storybrooke Garden! We were delighted to welcome members of The Four Cs Academy Trust, alongside other special guests, to share this exciting moment with us. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate. We are incredibly proud of this magical space, which has been carefully designed to provide our Reception children with rich opportunities for outdoor learning, exploration and imaginative play. As part of our commitment to creating inspiring learning environments, Storybrooke Garden offers a truly special place for children to learn, grow and make treasured memories every day. We look forward to seeing the children continue to explore, discover and enjoy everything this wonderful space has to offer!
