Advent Season at Hampton Vale! With December fast approaching, we're excited to share that our annual Children's and Staff Advent traditions are nearly here! On each school day, we randomly select children to receive selection boxes or small presents and we also make sure to support those who may not otherwise receive a gift this year. We also run a special advent for our amazing staff as a little thank-you for all their hard work throughout the year. If you, someone you know, or a local business would like to support our children's or staff advent with a present, gift card, voucher, selection box, or any other small treat, we would be incredibly grateful. Donations can be dropped off at the school office, ideally with a note of your name or organisation so we can give you a shout-out on our Facebook page. Thank you in advance for any kindness and generosity it truly makes a difference!

Exciting News From Our School Council! Before half term, our school councillors asked their classes for ideas for new token house names and after much discussion and creativity, the results are in! We are thrilled to announce our brand-new house names: Yellow – Narnia Red – Hogwarts Green – Neverland But the fun doesn't stop there! We're now handing things back over to the children with an exciting competition... Design a Logo Competition! We'd love the children to design a colourful, eye-catching logo for their new house name. The design should: Feature the book the setting comes from Be colourful and appealing Show as much creativity as possible! Children can complete their logo at home or in school. Deadline: 5th December The winner will be announced during our Celebration Assemblies! GOOD LUCK we can't wait to see your amazing creations!

Year 2 Bug Hunt Adventure! This week in Science, Year 2 have been learning all about living things and exploring the fascinating world of microhabitats. The children went on an exciting bug hunt and discovered all kinds of tiny creatures hiding in different environments! They had a brilliant time investigating, observing, and sharing their findings. Great work, Year 2!

School Christmas Card Project – Order Deadline Reminder Just a polite reminder that if you wish to purchase an item featuring your child's Christmas design from School Print World, the deadline is tomorrow, 22nd November. After this date, all orders will be processed, and items will be delivered to the school to be sent home with your child. Thank you, Miss Caswell

This is why we place such a focus on the pleasure of reading, hopefully Santa will be delivering our children new books this year!

The Holidays Are Coming! Date for Your Diary: Monday, 15th December | 3:30 – 4:30 PM Join us for this year's Christmas Fayre – a festive, fun-filled time for all! Come along, soak up the holiday spirit, and make magical memories!

Year 3s Incredible Stone Age Day! Year 3 enjoyed an unforgettable Stone Age Day, packed with creativity, adventure, and hands-on learning! The day kicked off with the children sketching their very own cave drawings, experimenting with shapes, symbols, and earthy colours inspired by prehistoric art. They then headed to the studio for a foraging-style hunt, exploring the grounds in search of "Stone Age" foods and natural materials. Back in the classroom, the creativity continued! The children built impressive mini Stonehenges out of custard creams and crafted pasta necklaces inspired by ancient jewellery. The fun didn't stop thereYear 3 took part in lively Stone Age charades and a fact-filled quiz to put their new knowledge to the test. To round off the day, the children used everything they had learned to create their own imaginative Stone Age stories. What a fantastic experiencehistory truly came to life!
